How we write our guides
Last updated 5 October 2026
Rescreen publishes guides about screen recording and makes one of the products discussed. Our comparisons should help you understand a tradeoff, including when another tool fits the job better.
Documentation and testing are different evidence
We link to vendor documentation for supported features, platform requirements and prices. A documentation check is not a hands-on test. We only describe a result as measured when we can give the test setup, app version, plan, source material and result.
The comparisons updated on 5 October 2026 are based on documentation. They do not claim comparative export speed or transcription accuracy. Practice scripts are labeled as examples, rather than customer stories or completed tests.
Prices and compatibility
Prices include the currency, billing cadence and check date. Annual equivalents require an annual payment. Browser, operating-system and plan differences belong next to the feature they affect. Verify the vendor's current terms before buying.
Images
Decorative article covers are illustrations, not evidence that an application was tested. Screenshots and sample outputs should identify the product and context they show. We do not use a generated interface as proof of a real feature.
Corrections
Send a source or a reproducible example to hello@rescreen.so. We update the article and its modified date when the substance changes. A newer date alone does not make a claim more reliable.
